Identity
The Congregation of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family is a Religious Missionary Congregation of Patriarchal Right, founded by Patriarch Elias Boutros Howayek and Mother Rosalie Nasr and Sister Stephanie Kardoush on 15th August 1895.
The Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family belongs to the Antioch Syriac Maronite Church. It is rooted in the eremitic and missionary spirituality, planted in the heart of the Catholic Church.

The Congregation of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family is a Religious Missionary Congregation of Patriarchal right. It was founded on 15th of August 1895 by Patriarch Elias Howayek , Mother Rosalie Nasr, and Sister Stephanie Kardouch, “for the glory of God and the salvation of souls”, as well as for the benefit of the Church and the country.
Our Congregation is deep-rooted in the Antioch SyriacMaronite Church and aims to go deeper in its eremitic and missionary spirituality. It is opened to the Universal Church, in an ecumenical spirit, embracing its mission, perceiving its needs, and mobilized for the service of “the edification of the Body of Christ”.
