The Founding of a Congregation is a divine and not human work, dependent on Providence. It endures through God, who made it grow and looked after it …  He will look after it and bless it … It is in his interest to look after this work … it is God’s own and God’s building”. This is what the Founder wrote to his religious daughters, calling on them to rely on Divine Providence throughout their journey on earth.

On 30th August 1899, one week after the martyrdom of Mother Rosalie, Patriarch Elias Howayek, appointed Mother Stephanie Kardoush, then only thirty years of age, as Superior. She took for herself the motto, “God and my Congregation ” and as a commencement to the building of the Motherhouse in Ebrine, she laid the foundation stone in 1907.
